VINCE NEIL Says 'Promoter's Breach Of Contract' Caused European Tour Cancellation

December 4, 2008

MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil has released a statement blaming the cancellation of his European solo tour on "the promoter's breach of contract." He said, "I regret not being able to come over to Europe at this time due to circumstances beyond my control. I hope to be able to visit next year for a more extensive tour."

Vince Neil's European tour was scheduled to kick off on December 3 in Barcelona, Spain.

According to a statement released by the Spanish concert promoter Rock Music Concert Promotions, the three dates in Spain were cancelled due to a combination of low ticket sales and the recent closure of the La Riviera venue in Madrid (where Vince Neil was scheduled to perform on December 16).

Fan-filmed video footage of Vince Neil and his solo band — which includes Jeff Blando (guitar) and Dana Strum (bass) of SLAUGHTER along with drummer Zoltan Chaney — performing the CRÜE classic "Kickstart My Heart" on April 26, 2008 at Trocadero's in Minneapolis, Minnesota can be viewed below (courtesy of "Trustygumby").
